SecurityScorecard, the global leader in cybersecurity ratings with 12+ million companies continuously rated across 64 countries, is seeking a Writer for Threat Intelligence & Communications. This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic storytelling, responsible for translating complex threat intelligence findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences—from CISOs and security practitioners to board-level executives. You will develop and shepherd threat intelligence content in partnership with the threat intelligence team, including advisories, threat briefs, deep-dive research reports, blogs, executive summaries, and social content. Your core responsibility is translating technical findings (IOCs, TTPs, exposures, emerging attack trends) into clear, audience-appropriate narratives. You'll proactively track the threat landscape and pitch timely pieces tied to active campaigns, disclosures, and geopolitical events. Additional responsibilities include developing webinar programs with talking points and post-production support, drafting bylines and blogs for marketing campaigns, coordinating content distribution across channels, maintaining publication calendars, and enforcing brand voice consistency across all outputs. Required: 3+ years writing and producing content in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, technical fields, or cybersecurity journalism/PR/communications. You must demonstrate a portfolio showing ability to write with both technical depth and clarity for executive and practitioner audiences, sharp editing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience producing or managing webinar programs is preferred. You should bring either working fluency in the threat landscape (threat actors, malware, vulnerabilities, MITRE ATT&CK, attack methodologies) or strong PR/communications instincts with demonstrated ability to rapidly master technical subject matter. You'll need a knack for working with technical SMEs—interviewing effectively, asking sharp follow-up questions, and self-editing to high standards with minimal oversight. PR and communications savvy is essential; you think strategically about audience, angle, and distribution, not just prose quality. SecurityScorecard is headquartered in NYC, funded by world-class investors including Silver Lake Waterman, Moody's, Sequoia Capital, GV, and Riverwood Capital. The company has been recognized by Inc Magazine as a Best Workplace, by Crain's NY as a Best Place to Work in NYC, and by Fast Company as one of the World's Most Innovative Companies.
