SecurityScorecard, the global leader in cybersecurity ratings with 12+ million companies continuously rated across 64 countries, is seeking a Writer for Threat Intelligence & Communications. This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic storytelling, responsible for translating complex threat intelligence findings into compelling, executive-facing content.
You will develop and shepherd threat intelligence content in partnership with the threat intelligence team, including advisories, threat briefs, deep-dive research reports, blogs, executive summaries, and social content. Your core responsibility is translating technical findings—IOCs, TTPs, exposures, and emerging attack trends—into narratives tuned for various audiences, from practitioners to board-level executives.
Key responsibilities include: proactively tracking the threat landscape and pitching timely pieces tied to active campaigns, disclosures, and geopolitical events; developing webinar programs with talking points and post-production support; drafting bylines and blogs for broader campaigns; coordinating content distribution across channels with the marketing team; maintaining publication calendars; and enforcing style standards to ensure consistent brand voice.
You must bring 3+ years of writing and content production experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, technical fields, or cybersecurity journalism/PR/communications. The ideal candidate combines either working fluency in the threat landscape (threat actors, malware, vulnerabilities, MITRE ATT&CK) or strong PR/communications instincts with demonstrated ability to learn technical subject matter quickly. You'll need sharp editing skills, meticulous attention to detail, proven ability to manage multiple projects, and experience working effectively with technical subject matter experts. A portfolio demonstrating technical depth and clarity for both executive and practitioner audiences is required. Webinar production or management experience is preferred.
