LaunchDarkly is hiring a VP of Product Management to lead the product organization end-to-end. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will own the people, operating system, roadmap commitments, and commercial outcomes across every product pillar, sitting at the technology leadership table alongside heads of Engineering and Product Design. LaunchDarkly is the runtime control plane for the AI software development lifecycle. Thousands of engineering organizations, including more than a quarter of the Fortune 500, use the platform to ship, measure, and control every change that reaches production. The company is building critical infrastructure for the AI-SDLC as the constraint shifts from writing software to controlling it. Key responsibilities include: - Lead cross-functional product leadership across Engineering, Product Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to establish shared commitments and coherent product strategy. - Build and lead the product management organization: design the org intentionally, allocate resources, maintain talent bar, build succession plans, and establish clear ownership for every product surface. - Own the product operating system: establish cadence for strategy-to-shipped-software, including quarterly commitments, leadership reviews, squad-level inspection, launch briefs, and new product introduction (NPI). - Drive roadmap delivery across all product pillars (Enterprise, Foundation, Observability, Experimentation, Agent Control, Automation, and platform). - Create portfolio discipline without slowing the company: ensure new bets enter through explicit decisions while preserving flexibility to respond to market changes. - Drive finishing: ensure products iterate based on learning, launches amplify through the field, and processes create leverage. - Own packaging execution and commercial outcomes: lead how pricing and packaging land in product and field so every representative can sell the full platform. - Stay close to customers and field: spend time with largest customers and demanding evaluators, translate learnings into product decisions. - Use AI to increase product and engineering leverage: help the organization adopt AI-assisted development and product practices. Success in year one means: the organization is complete with clear decision rights and succession plans; shipped output increases quarterly as AI-assisted development compounds; the operating system runs without CPO driving it; every initiative has explicit staffing decisions; activation, attach, activity, and expansion targets respond to organizational inputs; and the team is stronger with product managers having more leverage. Requirements: - Minimum 15+ years of experience in Product Management, including 7+ years leading Product Managers and product leaders across a multi-product B2B platform. - Experience leading Product Management at VP, SVP, or equivalent level across a multi-product B2B platform. - Experience leading a product management organization of 20+ product managers at a company with approximately $100M–$500M in revenue. - Track record of building and developing a product organization, not simply inheriting one. - Demonstrated ability to turn company strategy into a reliable operating system that delivers roadmap commitments and measurable business outcomes. - Experience working with a founder or visionary executive and converting a high volume of ideas into a sequenced, resourced portfolio. - Experience building products for engineering organizations and selling to CTOs, platform leaders, and data science teams. - Strong commercial fluency, including experience owning or materially influencing pricing, packaging, attach, expansion, and go-to-market execution. - Experience balancing enterprise and self-serve motions, understanding what drives large enterprise expansion and what creates value for developers on free plans. - Practical experience using AI agents in your own work and applying AI-native approaches to product management or software development; clear opinions about how AI changes product management, supported by shipped work. - Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete information, and improve delivery speed without compromising product quality.
