Nightfall AI is an AI-native, unified data loss prevention and insider risk management platform protecting sensitive data across SaaS apps, GenAI tools, email, and endpoints. Backed by top-tier VCs including Bain Capital Ventures and Venrock, with advisors from Okta, Chainguard, and Mandiant, the company is at Series B with strong product-market fit in the rapidly growing AI security market. As VP of Marketing, you will be the first true marketing leader, reporting directly to the CEO and owning the entire marketing function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to build a marketing engine at a well-funded company with clear category tailwinds and real revenue momentum. Key responsibilities include: developing overall marketing strategy and positioning; owning pipeline generation and demand gen (paid, ABM, email, inbound); building and scaling field marketing (events, conferences, executive roundtables); establishing product marketing (competitive positioning, battlecards, sales enablement); leading brand, content, and narrative strategy; optimizing the website as a conversion asset; managing PR and analyst relations; building an AI-native marketing function; and owning the full marketing budget with accountability to pipeline outcomes. You will lead a team including a Head of Content and Narrative Strategy and Growth Marketer, with plans to expand to product marketing and other functions. Success requires close partnership with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align marketing with revenue goals and company positioning. The role demands 10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience with 3-5 years in a senior leadership role (VP or equivalent) owning at least one marketing function fully. Ideal candidates have built and scaled a marketing engine at Series A or Series B companies and can demonstrate a track record of driving pipeline, revenue impact, and team growth.
