The Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions will lead the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of strategic acquisitions and inorganic growth opportunities. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and executive leadership, this role owns the end-to-end M&A transaction lifecycle—from market mapping and target sourcing through due diligence, closing, and post-acquisition integration. The VP will establish a disciplined, scalable M&A function supporting long-term strategic and financial objectives, with particular focus on expanding the clinical research site network through acquisitions and de novo development.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing M&A strategy aligned with company growth priorities; identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing acquisition targets across clinical research, healthcare services, life sciences, and adjacent markets; building a robust pipeline through industry relationships and external advisors; conducting market mapping and competitive analysis; leading the full M&A lifecycle including valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation; coordinating cross-functional diligence across finance, legal, operations, people, technology, and regulatory functions; developing acquisition models and pro forma projections; evaluating opportunities to expand the clinical research site network; leading post-acquisition integration planning and monitoring post-close performance; establishing scalable M&A processes and approval workflows; presenting opportunities and analyses to C-suite and Board; building relationships with industry executives, investors, and advisors; and mentoring corporate development team members as the function scales.

The position is hybrid with in-office collaboration two days per week in either the NYC or Boston office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or combination thereof, preferably in healthcare services, life sciences, or adjacent multi-site industries
- Deep M&A expertise with strong healthcare/health-tech experience
- Significant experience leading and closing complex acquisitions and strategic transactions
- Demonstrated experience managing transactions across the full M&A lifecycle from sourcing through integration
- Strong understanding of healthcare, health-tech, life sciences, digital health, or adjacent markets
- Deep knowledge of physician practice management and financial management of physician practices, including reimbursement systems, metrics, and operational challenges
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, transaction structuring, and analytical capabilities
- Experience presenting transaction recommendations to C-suite executives and/or Boards of Directors
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated external advisors and counterparties
- Results-oriented with capacity to follow through on pragmatic plans and ensure alignment through effective communication
