Nivoda is a B2B marketplace operating system for the global jewellery industry, connecting retailers with diamond, gemstone, and jewellery suppliers across 70+ countries and processing $300M+ in annual transactions. The company is hiring a VP of Growth to build the marketing function from the ground up and establish a predictable growth engine for this two-sided marketplace. You will own Nivoda's complete marketing strategy, translating company goals into a growth model and determining which channels, programs, and team structure deliver results. You'll report directly to the President, sit on the senior leadership team, and manage a mandate spanning demand generation, product marketing, brand, content, lifecycle, and marketing operations across all markets. Key responsibilities include: building the marketing team from its current base through hiring and structuring; owning demand generation and pipeline contribution for both retailers and suppliers; establishing measurement and attribution systems (CAC, payback, funnel instrumentation); running marketing as a portfolio of experiments with clear leading indicators; owning positioning and product marketing across multiple product lines (diamonds, gemstones, bridal, payments, logistics); building the category narrative for "the operating system for the jewellery industry"; driving lifecycle and retention marketing; partnering with Sales on segmentation and sales enablement; localizing go-to-market across major markets (US, UK, India, Europe, Asia); and owning the marketing budget with clear ROI justification. Required experience: significant B2B SMB marketing leadership selling to owner-operators and small businesses; proven track record building marketing functions from scratch as first or second marketing leader; deep data and growth orientation with fluency in growth models, funnel instrumentation, CAC, payback, and cohort analysis; demonstrated ownership of pipeline or revenue numbers with measurable results; full-stack marketing breadth across performance, content, product marketing, lifecycle, and brand; genuine senior leadership experience managing managers and working with founders/CEOs; strong judgment in channel selection and prioritization; comfort with ambiguity and low-hierarchy environments; and excellent written and spoken English for globally distributed teams. Nice-to-have: experience marketing two-sided marketplaces where supply and demand growth must be coordinated.
