Salary: USD 311,000 - 447,000 / annual

Cloudflare is seeking a visionary VP to lead its Global Trust & Safety team. This role oversees investigators and engineers who process legal information requests and abuse reports through automated systems and manual escalation protocols. You will develop strategic vision for building trust in Cloudflare's network, create and maintain clear policies, identify automation opportunities, and ensure consistent, fair application of company standards across global operations. Key responsibilities include: - Design and build a trust and safety function optimized for the AI era - Build, develop, and manage a world-class globally-distributed team operating 24/7/365 - Create and maintain processes and policies for handling legal requests and abuse complaints - Ensure consistent, timely, efficient, and fair policy application across diverse circumstances and locations, incorporating AI-powered automation - Liaise with senior company leaders, attorneys, engineers, and security staff to address operational issues - Partner with engineers to create and improve automated tools for efficiency gains - Work with Policy, Legal, and Product teams to develop scalable policies and guidelines - Handle sensitive content and emotionally charged escalations with tact and composure - Take responsibility for online fraud and safety concerns, including account security and user trust - Represent the company externally with industry groups, government officials, enterprise customers, and media - Maintain and expand Cloudflare's transparency reporting process You will work across Legal, Policy, Security, Communications, Support, Product, and Engineering teams, and represent Cloudflare to external stakeholders including industry peers and government officials. The role requires solving hard problems under pressure with senior executives and communicating vision clearly across the organization. REQUIREMENTS: - 15+ years relevant experience demonstrating leadership in Trust and Safety, fraud, risk management, threat intelligence, or customer support roles developing and implementing policies to address requests for information and abuse complaints at scale - 8+ years experience managing a large team effectively with a strong desire to help others learn and grow - Experience working with law enforcement and legal requests for customer information - Deep technical experience understanding how the Internet works - Understanding of the Internet ecosystem and roles/functions of various online service providers - Experience assessing, analyzing, and resolving complex and sensitive issues under considerable time pressure; demonstrated ability to thrive in crisis management - Experience with analytics and solving problems using data to provide practical business insights - Experience working closely with c-suite level executives - Significant awareness of existing and emerging approaches to law enforcement access and intermediary liability - Global network of contacts to quickly reach the right people to solve problems - Experience working on international issues with a global mindset - Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences - Excellent collaboration and consensus-building skills - Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to a fast-moving environment
