Salary: USD 95,000 - 120,000 / annual
InstaLILY is an AI products and infrastructure company founded in 2023 that has raised nearly $100 million. The company builds Lily, an AI Forward Deployed Engineer that learns how businesses work, builds software they need, and goes live in days. InstaLILY serves leading companies across construction, industrial distribution, logistics, healthcare, and other operationally intensive industries. Revenue has grown 5x over the past year, with Lily driving over $200M in new annual sales for a single customer.
You will own video production at InstaLILY, deciding what gets made, how it looks, and how often it ships. The role prioritizes customer stories filmed on location at job sites, branches, and distribution centers—capturing authentic interviews with people who have never been filmed before. Secondary priorities include short-form content with founders and leaders for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube; event coverage from summits and partner sessions; and product demos.
This is a creator role, not a service desk. You bring ideas rather than waiting for briefs. You'll travel to customer locations to film, work closely with the brand and content writer, sales teams, and founders. You own production end-to-end: pre-production, camera, lighting, audio, editing, color, sound, and delivery. You'll direct freelancers when shoots need additional hands, build and maintain a video library with consistent tagging and organization, and establish InstaLILY's visual and sonic identity. The goal is consistency over perfection—shipping a good video weekly rather than a perfect one quarterly.
You'll work 5 days per week in New York with the team, with approximately 25% travel for customer shoots and events. This is the first dedicated video hire, giving you significant ownership in defining processes, standards, and what gets produced.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years producing video professionally (in-house, agency, or freelance); B2B or technical subject matter is a plus
- Portfolio of three pieces: an interview or customer story, a short-form social cut, and something made entirely by yourself; clearly indicate your role in each
- Proven ability to direct people who have never been on camera (warehouse managers, engineers, founders) and extract authentic moments
- Strong ideas about what works in B2B and consumer video; ability to propose what should be filmed and why
- Full-stack production skills: camera and lighting on location, clean audio in challenging environments, fluent editing in Premiere or Resolve; After Effects or motion graphics is a plus
- Story instinct: ability to find the key moment in hours of footage and recognize the best lines
- Comfort working on active job sites and warehouses without disrupting operations
- Range across formats: polished customer films and vertical phone clips shot in hallways
- Serious use of AI tools in production workflow (transcription, rough cuts, generative b-roll, voice) with informed perspective on where they help and where they detract
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer shoots and events
- In-person availability 5 days per week in New York (shoot days count as in-office)
