ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Technical Writer to lead content strategy and execution across multiple applications within the ServiceNow product ecosystem. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence over product strategy and customer success outcomes.
In this role, you will:
• Define comprehensive content strategy for multiple applications, including information architecture, textual content, and multimedia assets designed to help customers achieve their goals efficiently
• Drive execution of content strategy by directly authoring high-quality, user-focused technical documentation and coordinating efforts across subject matter experts, reviewers, multimedia producers, and other writers
• Leverage deep understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem and specific user needs to influence product strategy and create content experiences that accelerate customer success
• Provide impactful leadership in team settings by soliciting diverse perspectives, fostering shared purpose, and structuring collaborative work that empowers individuals while ensuring synergy and timely delivery
You will work with a distributed, flexible work model. ServiceNow offers flexible, remote, or in-office work personas depending on the nature of your work and assigned location.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 7+ years of work experience in technical communication
• Demonstrated experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
• English language proficiency verified through HackerRank assessment, evaluating grammar, sentence structure, and clear, user-centric, procedural writing skills
• Understanding of content development life cycles and processes
• Portfolio of prior technical writing work demonstrating ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
• Experience authoring in DITA, Markdown, or other structured authoring architectures
• Proven experience defining content strategy and leading content development projects for new products or large products requiring multiple writers
• Experience influencing or leading diverse, collaborative writing or project teams; mentoring junior writers; and helping teammates and stakeholders adapt to changing priorities and contingencies
