Salary: USD 110,000 - 165,000 / annual
River Financial is building a trusted financial institution focused on Bitcoin and digital money. They seek a Video Content Strategist to own and grow their YouTube channel, creating valuable content that educates audiences on money, Bitcoin, and financial topics.
You will own the entire video content pipeline: generating and filtering video ideas, writing scripts for host-led and animated videos, crafting titles and thumbnails, directing the editing process, and optimizing for YouTube success metrics (views, retention, returning viewers). Your role bridges strategy and execution—you'll source ideas from marketing research, develop compelling hooks and story structures, and build repeatable systems for consistent quality production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating and curating video ideas from across the marketing team and company research
- Writing engaging scripts that make complex financial and Bitcoin topics accessible and compelling
- Owning packaging strategy: titles, thumbnails, and testing for click-through rate optimization
- Directing video editing and providing creative direction to hosts on structure, pacing, and cuts
- Analyzing YouTube analytics and iterating on content based on data (retention curves, CTR, viewer return rates)
- Building scalable systems for idea backlogs, filtering, scripting, and thumbnail testing
You'll report to River's Director of Marketing and collaborate with the Host-Producer, marketing team, and company leadership. River has raised $50M+ from top-tier investors (Goldcrest, Kingsway, Polychain, M13, DG, Valor) and publicly shares financials to demonstrate business robustness.
Required: proven track record growing a video channel (ideas and packaging that measurably moved views/retention, not just scripting); deep obsession with packaging and YouTube algorithm mechanics; exceptional writing and storytelling ability; solid understanding of Bitcoin's economic value proposition; strong ownership mentality; integrity in presenting facts honestly.
Nice-to-have: on-camera or hosting experience; background in finance, economics, or journalism.
