Unite Us is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead the product organization responsible for the platform and product suite serving government agencies, health systems, health plans, and community-based organizations (CBOs). In this senior leadership role, you will define and communicate a multi-year product vision and strategy aligned with company goals, customer needs, and the evolving policy landscape for health and community care. You'll translate strategy into a clear, prioritized roadmap and make hard tradeoff decisions with confidence and transparency. You'll stay close to customers, frontline users, and market trends, including government programs, value-based care, and reimbursement models for non-medical services. You'll identify where AI and advanced analytics can meaningfully improve how needs are identified, how services are coordinated, and how outcomes are measured. You'll own the product portfolio, including investment allocation, initiative sizing, and return on investment across product lines. You'll build product intelligence that links initiatives to financials and outcomes, so leaders can see what's being spent, what's being gotten, and what to stop. You'll run recurring business reviews with executive leadership that hold product, engineering, and business teams accountable to shared outcomes. You'll lead the evolution of the Unite Us platform toward configurable, reusable capabilities that let decentralized teams deliver a unified experience. You'll champion a secure, scalable identity strategy, including single sign-on (SSO), OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC), role-based access control (RBAC), and multi-factor authentication. You'll partner with Interoperability Solutions Delivery and Engineering to grow the integration portfolio, including FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, electronic health record (EHR) integrations, and partner APIs. You'll ensure products meet regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and interoperability rules such as the 21st Century Cures Act. You'll lead, mentor, and grow a team of product directors and product managers, building a culture of empowered, outcome-focused teams. You'll establish consistent product practices across teams: discovery, prioritization, outcome measurement, and storytelling about what's been learned and delivered. You'll recruit and develop strong product talent and create clear paths for growth. You'll partner with Engineering and Design leadership as a unified product development leadership team. You'll work with Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation to understand customer needs, support strategic deals, and ensure what's sold is what's delivered. You'll collaborate with Marketing on positioning, launches, and how the story of the products is told. You'll engage directly with customers and partners, including executive stakeholders at health plans, health systems, and government agencies. Success looks like: In your first 90 days, you know the customers, products, and team; you've met key customers and partners; and you've shared an initial assessment of the portfolio and the product organization. By six months, a clear product vision and roadmap are in place and understood across the company, every major initiative is tied to measurable outcomes and financials, and consistent product practices are running across teams. By a year, the portfolio is simpler and more focused, the platform lets teams ship faster with less duplication, and measurable improvements in customer outcomes and product-driven revenue are evident. REQUIREMENTS: - 12+ years of experience in product management, solution architecture, or health information technology, with 5+ years leading product teams and product leaders - Led a large, multi-team product portfolio in healthcare, health plans, or health IT, and can speak to the investment, outcome, and financial results of decisions - Technical foundation deep enough to go toe-to-toe with architects on platform, identity, and API strategy, ideally because you've been one - Delivered interoperability capabilities in production, such as FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR applications, or EHR integrations - Built or scaled a platform that lets many independent teams deliver a consistent experience - Understand the regulatory environment for health data, including HIPAA and the 21st Century Cures Act - Introduced product operating practices into an organization and made them stick - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including with executives, boards, and customer leadership - Comfortable presenting to large audiences, and enjoy teaching and developing others - Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambiguity and competing priorities - Commitment to social impact initiatives and helping underserved communities - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Health, or a related field; master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related field strongly preferred PLUS (preferred): - Experience serving special populations, such as Medicaid members, foster youth, or people receiving long-term services and supports (LTSS) - Experience with customer identity and access management (CIAM) platforms, such as Ping Identity or Okta - Background in clinical informatics or clinical decision support - Experience applying AI to product operations, portfolio management, or the product itself - Experience in a project-funded organization moving toward a product operating model - Published research, industry conference presentations, or teaching experience in health information technology or health administration
