Onside Technology is building operational intelligence for agriculture—a platform that serves as the system of record for biosecurity, health and safety, workforce, assets, environment, and market access across dairy, beef, poultry, pork, horticulture, viticulture, bees, and aquaculture. The company operates across New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and Mexico, and has been recognized by Deloitte Fast 50 and Forbes Asia 100 to Watch. This year they've moved upmarket, launched in the US, and completed their first acquisition. Now they're pursuing global expansion and category leadership.
As Vice President of Marketing, you will report to the Head of Revenue and work closely with the CEO and leadership team. You'll lead a senior marketing team spanning PR & Communications, Digital, Campaign, Field, and Product Marketing, with full authority over team structure, hiring, and growth.
Key responsibilities include: building the Onside brand globally and controlling how it appears across all touchpoints; establishing "Operational Intelligence for Agriculture" as the standard category definition; developing go-to-market strategy in collaboration with Revenue and Product leadership; creating and executing the pipeline plan across brand, product marketing, content, digital, campaigns, ABM, field events, PR, customer advocacy, and partnerships to drive qualified enterprise pipeline in ANZ and the US; ensuring product launches are market-ready with compelling narratives and sales enablement; and owning the marketing budget, channel mix, measurement, and attribution model.
You'll have autonomy over execution approach and leadership support for bold experiments. The role offers real ownership in a founder-led company at a pivotal growth moment, with the opportunity to shape a brand destined for global leadership while protecting the world's food supply.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience leading B2B marketing at senior level during a period of scale, ideally in SaaS or tech, with experienced marketers reporting to you
- Proven track record of building brand and pipeline together with demonstrated revenue impact
- Experience marketing to enterprise buyers in multiple markets (US experience strongly preferred)
- Experience defining or repositioning a category
- Commercial rigor: measure marketing by outcomes and revenue impact, not activity volume; comfortable owning budget and attribution model
- Strong, independent point of view on marketing; ability to lead conversations with CEO and revenue team, challenge assumptions constructively, and articulate trade-offs clearly
- Range across strategic and tactical work: category definition, campaign review, investment prioritization, hands-on execution when needed
- Curiosity about the agricultural sector (experience is a bonus, not required)
