Rippling is a unified platform for HR, IT, and Finance that consolidates workforce systems—payroll, expenses, benefits, computers, and third-party app integrations—into a single system. The company has raised $1.4B+ from top-tier investors including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, and Sequoia, and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
As Customer Marketing Manager, you will own programs that convert Rippling's most satisfied customers into growth drivers. You will build and run Wavemakers, the customer advocacy program, recruiting and engaging a community of advocates with meaningful incentives. You will also own the customer reference program, building a roster of referenceable customers and ensuring Sales has the resources needed to close deals, with an eye toward scaling as the product suite and international presence expand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own Wavemakers advocacy program: define segments, nomination criteria, and recruitment strategy; refine tier and points model with real incentives; drive ongoing engagement
- Own customer reference program and rep engagement playbook: recruit and build a roster of referenceable customers, fulfill sales requests for references, track program performance
- Run customer awards at XFN, Rippling's annual customer conference
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to identify and activate happy customers as advocates, references, and case studies
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate advocacy and reference workflows in partnership with Marketing Operations
- Support product betas by collecting customer proof points for launches
- Track and report on program health: reference fulfillment rate and time-to-fulfill, win rate on deals with references versus without, Wavemakers Hub membership and engagement, percentage of customers converting to reference or case study
From day one, you will have autonomy to shape these programs to meet business needs and develop new ways to spotlight customer success stories.
Rippling values in-office collaboration; office-based employees (those within a defined radius of a Rippling office) are expected to work in-office at least three days per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in customer marketing-related role (customer marketing, product marketing, or similar), ideally in B2B SaaS or AI
- Experience running advocacy and reference programs, including recruiting and activating advocates, incentivizing participation, and scaling programs to meet growing business needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging
- Self-starter mindset with track record of driving projects end-to-end, standing up new processes from scratch, and scaling existing ones
- High emotional intelligence and proven ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously with timely, responsive follow-through
- Experience with Salesforce and UserEvidence (nice to have)
