Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company building the platform for the next generation of software. As a Development Representative focused on the Startups segment, you'll identify and engage high-potential early-stage companies that could benefit from Vercel's platform—including Next.js, v0, and AI SDK.
You'll research prospects and tailor outreach to engineering, product, and marketing leaders at fast-growing startups. Your core responsibilities include generating outbound opportunities through personalized outreach, partnering with Account Executives to build pipeline and drive adoption, and collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to refine messaging and improve effectiveness.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll learn directly from world-class sales and product leaders, gain exposure to the SaaS sales cycle, and build a strong foundation for a career in go-to-market at Vercel. You'll work closely with startup founders and early-stage teams, educating them on how Vercel can help their teams ship faster and build better web experiences.
The role is hybrid based in San Francisco with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. You'll need passion for web development and staying current with latest trends, familiarity with startup culture, and 1+ years of experience in a technical, sales, or customer support role for a technical product. Excellent communication skills—ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders—are essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams are required.
Bonus experience includes background in computer science or web development, familiarity with Vercel/Next.js, experience with Salesforce/Outreach, or prior SDR experience.
