Veeam Kasten is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead the pre-sales technical organization across EMEA and APJ regions. Reporting to the Worldwide Kasten Solution Sales leader, you will manage a distributed team of senior Solutions Engineers and Architects, setting technical strategy and execution standards for Kubernetes-native data protection and resilience.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will own technical win rates across both regions, partnering with regional sales leadership on territory planning, pipeline development, and pursuit strategy. You will establish the standard for discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution, holding the team accountable to measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing a geographically distributed specialist team; owning technical pipeline health and business reviews; building Kasten and VDP Proxy technical capability across the wider Veeam field organization through enablement and certification; developing ecosystem relationships with Red Hat, AWS, SUSE, and regional channel partners and system integrators; and traveling up to 30% across EMEA and APJ with occasional global travel.
You will stay credible in front of enterprise architects and technical executives, translating complex technical capabilities into business value. The role requires deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and virtualized environments, combined with proven ability to lead pre-sales teams across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones. You will own the field-to-product feedback loop, working directly with Kasten Product Management and engineering to represent customer requirements and drive product-market fit.
