Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous maritime defense systems, is seeking a University Recruiter to build the pipeline of interns and new graduates who will design and operate the next generation of autonomous vessels.
You will partner with hiring managers across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to develop campus hiring strategies and execute full-cycle recruiting for intern and new grad roles. Responsibilities include sourcing, phone screens, interview coordination, offer management, and candidate closing.
A key part of the role is planning and executing campus recruiting events—career fairs, info sessions, tech talks, and student organization partnerships—including logistics, travel, and booth staffing. You will travel to target universities and maritime academies during fall and spring recruiting seasons to represent Saronic, engage students directly, and identify top talent on site.
You will build and maintain relationships with career centers, faculty, and student organizations including engineering societies, robotics teams, ROTC, and veteran groups. You'll help shape school strategy by identifying which campuses, programs, and events best align with hiring needs.
Additional responsibilities include managing candidate pipelines in Ashby (the company's ATS), tracking event results and pipeline metrics, supporting the full intern program lifecycle (offer logistics, pre-boarding, onboarding, summer programming, intern-to-full-time conversion), recruiting and organizing employee volunteers and alumni ambassadors for campus events, and delivering a responsive, student-first candidate experience with timely follow-ups and clear communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in university recruiting, campus relations, full-cycle recruiting, recruiting coordination, or career services
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple events, candidates, and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with students, faculty, and senior engineers
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including some evenings and weekends during peak recruiting season
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, team-oriented environment
- U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or protected asylee/refugee)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience recruiting interns and new grads for technical roles in engineering, software, or manufacturing
- Track record of building or scaling a campus program, owning school relationships, or running an intern program end-to-end
- Experience with Ashby ATS and campus recruiting platforms such as Handshake or Yello
- Familiarity with defense, aerospace, maritime industries, or maritime academies, ROTC, or service academy programs
- Experience using data to evaluate school and event performance and influence hiring strategy
