Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment, is seeking a Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) for its Liver portfolio. This role is responsible for delivering strong business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory, with a focus on rare cholestatic liver diseases. The TAM develops deep clinical and account expertise in Mirum's Liver portfolio and rare cholestatic liver diseases. Key responsibilities include developing and executing focused territory business plans aligned with national and regional priorities; identifying and prioritizing high-opportunity customers, accounts, and referral networks; and executing customized account plans that advance disease awareness, appropriate patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and persistence. The ideal candidate is a clinically credible, insight-led partner who engages healthcare professionals as a peer, asks thoughtful questions, constructively challenges clinical inertia, and influences change across complex accounts. The TAM works closely with the Regional Business Director and cross-functional partners to connect customer needs, patient journeys, referral pathways, and access dynamics with business opportunities. Key functions include: developing territory strategy and business performance through disciplined prioritization and accountability; strategic account management and network development across pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology; building trusted relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and care team members; developing and maintaining deep knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, diagnostic pathways, clinical data, and competitive landscape; communicating complex scientific information clearly and credibly; and influencing multiple stakeholders to recognize gaps in disease awareness, patient identification, and treatment consideration. The role requires high emotional intelligence, curiosity, credibility, and the ability to navigate resistance constructively while maintaining persistence with empathy and respect for customer boundaries. Success is measured by territory business objectives, customer engagement quality, and meaningful patient impact.
