Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare diseases, is seeking a Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) for its Liver portfolio. This role is based remotely and covers the Columbus territory, focusing on rare cholestatic liver diseases.
The TAM will develop deep clinical and account expertise in Mirum's Liver portfolio and rare cholestatic liver disease treatment. You will identify and prioritize high-opportunity customers, accounts, and referral networks across pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology practices. The role requires executing customized account plans that advance disease awareness, appropriate patient identification, treatment consideration, and persistence in accordance with approved indications.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing focused territory business plans aligned with national and regional priorities; using performance data and market intelligence to identify opportunities and adjust strategy; maintaining accurate customer records and forecasts; identifying and developing high-opportunity accounts and centers of excellence; creating customized account plans reflecting local patient journeys and clinical decision-making; building trusted relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and pharmacists; mapping influence and decision-making within complex accounts; and coordinating compliant account actions across field partners.
You will develop and maintain deep knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, diagnostic pathways, mechanisms of action, clinical data, product profiles, approved uses, safety information, and the competitive landscape. The ideal candidate communicates complex scientific information clearly and credibly, engages healthcare professionals as a peer, asks insightful questions, and executes approved promotional programs with full adherence to regulatory requirements.
This is not a transactional sales role. The successful TAM is a clinically credible, insight-led partner who demonstrates curiosity, high emotional intelligence, resilience, ownership, and consistent follow-through. You will influence multiple stakeholders without authority, navigate resistance constructively, and help customers recognize gaps in disease awareness and patient identification across the care journey.
