Clara is a fast-growing B2B fintech platform serving Latin America, offering spend management solutions including corporate cards, bill pay, financing, and a powerful B2B platform. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Monashees, Kaszek, Canary, Coatue, DST Global, and others.
You will spearhead Clara's growth in São Luís by owning the end-to-end sales cycle and identifying high-value business opportunities in the Maranhão region. Your responsibilities include:
- Drive sales growth by pursuing new business opportunities and expanding Clara's client base across the region
- Leverage your existing relationships and deep understanding of the local business ecosystem, particularly among finance and operations decision-makers in Maranhão, to generate high-quality leads
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through lead generation, qualification, and closing to ensure consistent new partnerships
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their complex financial needs and delivering tailored solutions via the Clara platform
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to connect regional market dynamics with company strategy, using tools like HubSpot to track and optimize impact
- Maintain rigorous documentation and performance tracking using Google Drive and automated workflows
You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-growth sales environments, preferably in SaaS or Fintech. You are currently based in São Luís with a strong, active network among finance leaders and key influencers in the region. You have working proficiency in both English and Portuguese, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex negotiations independently, and the ability to thrive in fast-changing environments with high ownership. You are tech-savvy with experience or strong interest in using AI tools and automation (like N8N or Slack) to improve sales workflows.
Nice-to-have qualifications include independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, SQL, or Python; basic Spanish proficiency or willingness to learn; prior experience with Amplemarket or HubSpot for outbound prospecting; and a good sense of humor.
