Halter is a venture-backed climate tech company developing virtual fencing technology to enable farmers and ranchers to run more productive and sustainable operations. The company has raised funding from top-tier investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC. As Territory Manager for the Trans-Pecos region of West Texas, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your designated territory. This is a hands-on, field-based sales role requiring frequent travel across ranches and agricultural communities. Key responsibilities include: - Prospecting and pipeline development through outbound lead generation, attending cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock and Cattleman's associations - In-field sales activities: meeting ranchers on their land, discussing Halter's value proposition over coffee or while working cattle, and building relationships through authentic engagement - Expanding existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities to increase Halter adoption across their operations - Managing a high-growth sales pipeline and hitting ambitious territory targets - Post-sale account management and customer success, ensuring smooth onboarding and deployment - Serving as Halter's on-the-ground representative and face of the territory, building relationships with regional agricultural stakeholders and agencies - Collaborating with Product, Support, and Customer Onboarding teams to share field insights and ensure the product meets farmer needs Your day-to-day will be unconventional for a tech sales role: you may find yourself on horseback, helping customers gather cattle, traversing pastures on a side-by-side, or attending industry events. This role demands a proactive, hands-on approach with genuine interest in agriculture and ranching culture. You'll need strong pipeline management skills, comfort with rejection, and the ability to balance new business development with existing customer expansion and onboarding support.
