Halter is a venture-backed climate tech company developing virtual fencing technology to enable sustainable and productive grazing operations. As Territory Manager for the Rio Grande region of West Texas, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your designated territory. This is a hands-on, field-based sales role requiring frequent travel across ranches and agricultural communities. Key responsibilities include: - Prospecting and pipeline development through outbound lead generation, attending cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock and Cattleman's associations - In-field sales activities: meeting potential customers on ranches, in pastures, and at kitchen tables to demonstrate Halter's virtual fencing technology - Expanding existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities to increase adoption and value - Managing and hitting ambitious sales targets while maintaining a healthy pipeline - Post-sale account management and customer success, ensuring smooth onboarding and deployment - Territory ownership: serving as Halter's on-the-ground representative, building relationships with regional stakeholders and agricultural groups - Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Support, Customer Onboarding) to share field insights and ensure the product meets farmer needs Your day-to-day activities may include prospecting via horseback or side-by-side vehicle, attending industry events like CattleCon, managing administrative tasks, and providing hands-on support during critical periods like calving season. Success requires a proactive, relationship-focused approach with strong pipeline management discipline and comfort with rural, field-based work.
