Salary: USD 115,000 - 185,000 / annual
Toast is a restaurant technology platform that helps local businesses operate, increase sales, engage customers, and manage employees in a digital-first world. As a Territory Account Executive for SMB (Small-to-Medium Business), you will own a geographic territory in the Lincoln/West Omaha area and drive new customer acquisition through consultative selling.
You will prospect and build relationships with restaurant owners, understand their unique operational challenges, conduct product demos, and close deals on Toast's point-of-sale and management platform. You'll manage the entire sales cycle from initial outreach through contract signature, leveraging Salesforce CRM to track activities and pipeline. Success requires partnering cross-functionally with implementation and support teams to ensure customer expectations are met post-sale.
Key responsibilities include generating prospect lists, conducting needs-based discovery, developing customized solutions, positioning Toast against competitors, and managing all sales activities in Salesforce. You'll work from a home office but must be local to the territory or willing to relocate; reliable transportation is essential (mileage reimbursed).
Required qualifications: 1+ years in sales (sourcing or closing), restaurant operations, or related field; strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals; self-motivation and ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments; general technical proficiency. Nice-to-haves include Salesforce CRM experience and Sandler Sales Training.
