Wiz is a rapidly growing cloud and AI security platform trusted by over 65% of the Fortune 100. The company recently became part of Google, combining Wiz's security expertise with Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations capabilities. We're seeking a Technical Writer to join our Product team and create documentation that helps users understand and maximize Wiz's powerful security features. You'll work on a diverse range of content projects as our product evolves, from feature announcements to comprehensive technical guides. In this role, you will develop in-product feature communications by partnering with Product Managers to write roadmap updates, feature previews, release notes, and announcements. You'll use modern docs-as-code workflows in GitHub and Markdown, managing pull requests and automated publishing pipelines to ship technical content efficiently. You'll leverage generative AI tools to research complex security topics, extract context from engineering specifications, and draft comprehensive documentation faster while maintaining accuracy. You'll craft concise in-product guidance including portal descriptions, UI tooltips, and guided tours that help users navigate features directly within the application. A key responsibility is optimizing content for AI retrieval and search by structuring documentation architecture, metadata, and markdown files so technical content can be effectively ingested by both internal and customer-facing AI assistants. You'll also validate and maintain troubleshooting content by coordinating directly with Developers, Security Experts, and Support Engineers. You bring at least 3 years of technical writing experience documenting complex technical products, cloud platforms, or developer tools. You learn independently by exploring documentation, testing products, and diving into technical resources. You have a STEM educational background or professional experience in software development, QA, analytics, SOC, Incident Response, or IT. You write at a native English level with exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation. Bonus qualifications include experience in cybersecurity, cloud computing, or B2B SaaS; hands-on proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, VS Code, and Markdown; and familiarity with generative AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot.
