Ping Identity is seeking a Technical Writer to join its documentation team, reporting to a technical documentation manager. You'll work in a Docs-as-Code environment creating and maintaining core administrator documentation for identity and access management (IAM) products. Key responsibilities include collaborating with subject matter experts, engineers, and product teams across time zones to design and deliver clear, user-friendly documentation tailored to IAM administrators. You'll investigate and research Ping Identity products and related standards to ensure accuracy, translate complex technical concepts into accessible content, and work with AsciiDoc in a Docs-as-Code authoring environment using IntelliJ IDE and Git/GitHub. You'll also follow the software development lifecycle to anticipate documentation needs and manage multiple tickets simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Required qualifications include 2-4+ years of technical writing experience, proven expertise documenting complex software (preferably IAM or security products), experience with markdown content creation, and familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini, Glean, or Claude Code. You should have prior exposure to software development, experience with GitHub repositories, Jira, and Confluence or similar project management platforms, and a strong understanding of technical administrator workflows. Advantage qualifications include hands-on experience with Docs-as-Code environments using AsciiDoc, writing AI agent skill files, building and configuring software, working with Ping Identity or competing products, and writing for technical audiences including system administrators and configuration managers. The company emphasizes a flexible, collaborative work environment with a focus on digital freedom and individual identity protection.
