Verkada is a rapidly scaling physical AI platform protecting organizations through integrated video security, access control, sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. With 30,000+ customers (100+ Fortune 500), $5.8B valuation, and $1B+ annualized bookings, the company is at the forefront of physical AI transformation. As an Instructional Designer on the Solutions Engineering (SE) Enablement team, you will drive creative transformation and multimedia production of technical enablement content across the global SE organization. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering Enablement, you serve as a vital bridge between technical architecture and field engagement. You will own the complete instructional design lifecycle, converting complex engineering documentation and product workflows into scalable multimedia assets—podcasts, micro-learning videos, and interactive training modules—to maximize field comprehension and retention. Key responsibilities include: • Transform technical specifications into digestible learning modalities: design and produce professional podcasts, short-form instructional videos, and interactive e-learning modules tailored to different learning preferences. • Partner with Technical Content Architect and Technical Content Delivery Manager to consume raw engineering documentation and ensure production formats integrate with HighSpot LMS taxonomy. • Design comprehensive learning paths using instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM) for SE lifecycle phases: Onboarding, Continuous Education, and Just-In-Time field assets. • Establish metrics tracking consumption, completion rates, and educational effectiveness; leverage LMS dashboards and field feedback to iterate on asset design. • Deconstruct extensive technical guides into modular, snackable micro-learning components for busy field engineers. • Maintain structured asset catalog of raw media, audio files, video templates, and interactive storyboards, keeping all production files current with rapid product releases. You bring 5+ years in Instructional Design, Multimedia Production, or Technical Training within enterprise SaaS, IoT, hardware, or networking. Advanced proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Audition). Proven collaboration with technical content developers, SMEs, and platform managers. Capability building interactive simulations, audio scripts, video storyboards, and evaluation rubrics. Foundational technical literacy in cloud networking, IoT infrastructure, and physical security concepts. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to transform engineering data into compelling narratives.
