Applied Intuition is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join the Vehicle Operations team. This role focuses on designing and scaling learning experiences that build skills, knowledge, and operational readiness for safely operating, testing, maintaining, and supporting the company's vehicle fleet and operations.
You will own the design of learning experiences across the employee lifecycle—from onboarding and foundational skills through advanced technical training, certification, and ongoing proficiency. Working at the intersection of L&D, Vehicle Operations, Engineering, and Technology, you'll partner with operations leaders, subject matter experts, engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate complex operational processes and technical requirements into practical, engaging, and measurable learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include: designing role-specific Vehicle Operations learning programs; identifying capability gaps and defining proficiency requirements; creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences using instructor-led training, simulations, scenarios, assessments, and job aids; applying learning science and performance-based design to determine appropriate solutions; leveraging AI and emerging learning technologies to accelerate content development and enable personalized, scalable learning; building and maintaining high-quality learning content and curricula; and measuring learning effectiveness using learner feedback, proficiency data, and business outcomes.
Required qualifications: 4+ years in learning experience design, instructional design, technical training, or learning program management; strong foundation in adult learning, instructional design, needs analysis, and assessment; experience with Articulate Storyline/Rise or similar authoring tools; proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into structured learning solutions; experience developing training across multiple formats (LMS, e-learning, documentation, video, instructor-led); strong project management and execution skills; excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities; strong curiosity and ability to quickly learn complex technical domains; and ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
