FloQast is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant to serve as a pre-sales customer-facing expert within the Global Revenue Organization. This role bridges FloQast's integration ecosystem with customer needs, engaging directly with prospects' IT teams, financial systems administrators, accounting leadership, and controllers.
You will act as the primary subject matter expert for FloQast's SAP integration strategy, navigating technical nuances across SAP S/4HANA (Public/Private Cloud) and legacy ECC environments while articulating close-process and accounting value to controllers and IT leaders. You'll serve as a subject matter expert for FloQast's integration ecosystem, including pre-built APIs, custom APIs and connectors (especially for SAP), SFTP, and SAML.
Key responsibilities include joining late-stage sales opportunities to demonstrate integration requirements and financial workflow enhancements to prospective customers, securing buy-in from both IT and accounting stakeholders. You'll strategize with the sales team on technical buy-in approaches and collaborate with Product/Engineering on integration developments.
You will design and validate integration workflows using FloQast's tri-modal connectivity architecture (Direct APIs, On-Premise Connectors, and Public API endpoints) to overcome technical deal blockers. You'll consult with prospects on optimizing their month-end close by identifying opportunities for SAP job orchestration and T-code execution. You'll collaborate with customer IT and accounting teams to map financial processes to SAP data structures, ensuring smooth native ingestion of Trial Balances, GL transactions, subledgers, and custom client tables (Z-tables).
Additional duties include maintaining customer-facing technical and integration guides for third-party systems, answering sales team questions about integrations, delivering required integrations and FloQast test environments for proof-of-concepts, and writing regular expressions to parse file names and content for data processing as part of integrations with ERPs, subledgers, and banks.
The role is hybrid, based in the London office 3 days per week. Travel up to 25% is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Systems, Technical IT Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or related pre-sales role focused on SAP integrations and financial workflows
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, corporate accounting workflows, month-end close challenges, and financial reporting needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for live meetings, Zoom, and email
- Ability to articulate complex SAP integration and IT concepts in business-friendly terms to accounting, finance, and technical executive audiences
- Self-starter with high initiative and follow-through
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and respond to rapidly changing demands
- Deep understanding of SAP environments, specifically SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite entitlements, and Public vs. Private Cloud deployment models
- Experience with ERP systems (especially SAP S/4HANA or ECC), supporting configuration, integration, or migration of ERP modules
- Experience with cloud storage systems and administration within a team setting
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and administrative experience within a team setting
- Proven experience or strong aptitude for navigating SAP data dictionaries and understanding standard SAP table structures (e.g., ACDOCA)
- Experience implementing or supporting integration projects involving SAP APIs (OData/RESTful) and secure file exchange (SFTP) within financial or ERP systems
NICE TO HAVES:
- Degree in IT, Business Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or related field
- Familiarity with scripting and data formats (regex, JSON, Python, SQL)
- Experience publishing and/or updating technical documentation
- Experience using AI tools, particularly Claude, to optimize workflows and solution design
- Experience with FloQast or similar financial close management software
