Pinecone is seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager to drive go-to-market strategy and messaging for its vector database platform. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and marketing, requiring someone who can translate complex AI/ML infrastructure concepts into compelling narratives for both developer and enterprise audiences.
Key responsibilities include leading product launch planning and execution across cross-functional teams (product, sales, developer relations, marketing), developing technically accurate positioning and messaging for AI-powered search and retrieval solutions, and creating differentiated narratives that highlight Pinecone's competitive advantages. You will partner directly with customers to develop case studies, conduct market research, and gather architectural insights that inform messaging strategy.
Content and enablement work includes developing sales training materials, pitch decks, technical blogs, and social content. You'll collaborate closely with the Developer Relations team to ensure messaging resonates with AI/ML practitioners and software engineers building production applications.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally at a developer-focused or AI/ML infrastructure company, with strong hands-on technical knowledge of AI, ML, vector search, cloud computing, or databases. You should have a proven track record launching technical products and driving adoption in both enterprise and developer communities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging for different audiences.
Bonus experience includes developer marketing background, familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment.
