Faro Health is an AI-powered software platform that helps life sciences companies design optimal clinical trials. The company aims to improve drug development by providing powerful insights about trial design and outcomes, enabling researchers to design more intelligent trials, reduce development costs, and reach milestones faster.
As Technical Product Manager for Platform & Integrations, you will own Faro's platform and integration strategy, serving as the bridge between customers, partners, and engineering teams. You will drive scalable architecture, reliable data exchange, and interoperable solutions that connect clinical systems and power intelligent trial design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute a roadmap for integrations that strengthen the scalability and interoperability of the Faro platform
- Translate complex clinical and operational requirements from customers and partners into detailed product and integration specifications
- Act as a solution consultant, rolling up your sleeves to design, prototype, and validate integration solutions in collaboration with engineering and customer teams
- Drive the end-to-end integration lifecycle from discovery through design, testing, and launch, ensuring integrations deliver measurable value, reliability, and compliance
- Partner cross-functionally with data, engineering, product design, and customer strategy teams to build end-to-end strategies
- Define standards and tools that enable internal teams and external partners to build on Faro's platform
- Evaluate and prioritize integrations that enhance connectivity and data flow across clinical trial systems
- Define KPIs for platform performance, integration uptime, adoption, and ecosystem growth
- Track industry interoperability standards (CDISC, HL7 FHIR, ODM) and ensure Faro's platform evolves accordingly
- Be available to work East Coast hours occasionally to accommodate customers in Europe and Asia
The role is hybrid based in San Diego, with employees working from home and the main headquarters, which features a gym with classes, spa services (launching early next year), outdoor lawn work area, and discounted food hall. Remote employees work from home and visit for group events and in-person collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on platforms, integrations, or technical products
- Experience managing external integrations or platform ecosystems in a regulated environment
- Strong technical foundation: understanding of data architecture, APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex user needs into scalable technical solutions
- Strong communication skills to bridge business and engineering domains and present technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Preferred qualifications:
- SQL knowledge
- Experience integrating products using external APIs to produce one-off reports
- Experience in life sciences industry
- Experience with regulated data environments (HIPAA, GxP)
