HealthLeap is an AI operating system that helps hospital care teams identify missed patients who need intervention, improving health outcomes and generating significant cost savings. The company has grown contracted revenue 13x over the past year, expanded across leading health systems, and now processes millions of inpatient encounters. With ~25 people and >$32M raised, HealthLeap is a SF-based, hybrid-friendly startup delivering measurable clinical impact.
As Technical PM, you will bridge customer needs and engineering delivery. You'll speak directly with clinicians to understand workflows and help develop new products from concept to launch. You'll shape and deliver feature expansions for existing customers, learning from real-world usage patterns. You'll coordinate complex changes—such as new data feed specifications or FHIR API updates—across hospital teams, customer success, and engineering, keeping owners, dependencies, decisions, and deadlines transparent.
You'll build working prototypes using AI coding tools so customers and engineers can test ideas early. You'll investigate product questions hands-on: writing SQL queries, inspecting API requests and responses, tracing data through workflows, and identifying gaps between expected and actual behavior. You'll write detailed requirements covering system behavior, edge cases, failure modes, and verification methods, then work through implementation tradeoffs with engineers. You'll communicate progress, risks, and changed expectations proactively.
The role demands strong organization and project management skills—you follow through across teams even when plans shift. You'll communicate clearly with both clinicians and engineers, in writing and conversation. You must be comfortable with technical depth: reading API documentation, understanding data flows, and investigating issues before escalating to engineers. You'll discuss architecture, constraints, and tradeoffs with engineers and translate those conversations into precise product decisions.
The company values output over hours. The default is in-office (roughly 32 hours/week), but you can work from home flexibly with no tracking or approvals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in product management, including experience taking a product from 0 to 1 and into users' hands
- Strong organization and project management; ability to follow through across teams when plans change
- Clear communication with customers and engineers, both written and verbal
- Hands-on technical experience: can write and review SQL, read API documentation and sample payloads, understand data flows, and investigate technical issues independently
- Ability to discuss architecture, constraints, and tradeoffs with engineers and convert those conversations into precise product decisions (demonstrated on a shipped product)
- Ability to build and test useful prototypes with AI coding tools
PREFERRED:
- Healthcare or clinical product experience
- Experience delivering products to enterprise customers
- Startup experience spanning product discovery and delivery
