Omnidian is a Series C tech-enabled service company revolutionizing performance assurance for distributed solar and energy storage assets. As Technical Operations Manager, Commercial, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of approximately 250–350 MW of distributed solar PV and energy storage assets. You will split your time across three core areas: (1) Technical Expertise and Client Engagement (60%) — serving as the lead technical contact for assigned clients, reviewing service visit reports, participating in weekly client check-in calls, and cultivating strong relationships with clients, field service partners, and internal stakeholders; (2) Operational Support and Field Coordination (20%) — investigating performance issues using site monitoring platforms, creating and managing service tickets, coordinating with field service partners, supporting onsite technicians, and collaborating with external engineering firms on retrofits and redesigns; and (3) Battery Storage and Continuous Improvement (20%) — owning the technical aspects of the Commercial BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) program including sales support, pricing proposals, scope development, and operational implementation, while contributing to SOPs, QA/QC programs, and sales/product development initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: - Typically 3+ years of hands-on experience as a solar technician, installer, OEM field service engineer, or similar role, with at least 2 of those years in Commercial Solar - Hands-on experience with 1000V+ DC systems, 3-phase AC interconnections, and advanced system diagnostics for projects exceeding 500kW - Typically 4+ years of professional experience in the solar energy industry, or equivalent demonstrated scope, with a history of leadership in account management, asset management, operations and maintenance, or field service coordination - Familiarity with energy storage technologies - Experience with solar monitoring DAS platforms and interpreting system design drawings - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets), and CRM systems (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.) PLUS (Nice-to-Have): - Deep technical knowledge of commercial battery energy storage systems - NABCEP certification(s) - Experience in Salesforce
