Brodie Rec. League is one of North America's fastest-growing sports brands, redefining adult recreational basketball with a professional-quality experience rooted in culture, competition, and community. The League Manager runs a Brodie location end-to-end, leading operations across game nights and administrative work. On game nights, you lead a floor crew of 10–20 people (Scorekeepers, Referees, Athlete Experience Specialists, media staff) to ensure every game starts on time, on brand, and to the Brodie Standard. You rotate crew across positions, redeploy staff when needed, hold standards in the moment, and coach/escalate when performance slips. You set the gym to spec, run pre-game meetings, keep games streaming live, settle disputes, and close out scoresheets and reporting within 4 hours of the final game. You own the athlete experience by greeting captains, working the room between games, answering player and captain messages within 24 hours, and following up on complaints within 48 hours. You hit clear retention and growth targets by re-signing returning teams, converting players on the floor, driving referrals, and personally reaching out to captains and lapsed teams while logging all activity in the CRM. You build and run the season using PlayerOne for scheduling regular season, playoffs, and all-star games; place and balance divisions; onboard captains; roster free agents; and manage jerseys, equipment, and court bookings. You own administrative work including reviewing and approving staff timesheets and payroll in Rippling, keeping stats and standings correct, and ensuring athletes with overdue balances settle up before playing. Roughly half your week is this backend work. You work independently on non-game days, keeping work visible to your District Manager through the CRM, Season Success Checklist, and weekly check-ins. You raise issues early with a plan when registrations or nights are off track. You partner with your District Manager to hire, train, and develop your crew, create checklists and handoffs that let nights run on your standard when you're not present, and push for more capacity when your location sells out. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years leading people: hired, scheduled, corrected, and developed a team of 3+ in restaurants, hospitality, retail, fitness, events, or sports operations. You have held others to a standard and talk about what your team did. - Proven ownership of something recurring: a weekly shift, location, program, or season that ran on systems rather than memory. When things went wrong, you owned your part and changed something so it didn't happen again. - Warmth and presence that makes a gym full of athletes feel welcomed and remembered. Having played in a Brodie league or knowing it well as an athlete is a strong asset, as is a network in the local basketball or rec sports scene. - Real relationship with basketball and your local community: you have played, coached, refereed, organized, or captained. - Fully committed to full-time role: this is your only job. Available for game nights (roughly 6pm to midnight, multiple nights a week including weekends), reachable and working roughly 9am to 5pm on non-game weekdays, and on game nights you are working the league, not playing in it. - Local and on-site: you live in or near the market you run, work on-site at your assigned Brodie venue(s) every game night, have reliable transportation to move brand fixtures and equipment, and join your District Manager and team at HQ for training and check-ins as required. - Comfortable selling and following up: energized by outreach, can turn a verbal "we're in" into a paid registration, and treat logging activity as part of the job. Experience with CRM, payroll, timesheets, or scheduling tools is a strong asset; you adopt new tools (PlayerOne, Rippling, Slack) quickly.
