Atom Computing is seeking a Technical Marketing Director to lead marketing strategy and communications for its quantum computing platform. This role bridges deep technical expertise with marketing excellence, requiring someone who can understand quantum technology at a fundamental level and translate it into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
**Product & Technical Expertise:** Develop comprehensive understanding of Atom's quantum technology, competitive positioning, and product roadmap. Stay current with scientific, engineering, and commercial developments across the quantum industry to inform messaging and strategic positioning. Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners, translating their feedback into product and offering improvements.
**Industry & Ecosystem Engagement:** Represent Atom at major conferences, technology forums, and industry consortia globally. Secure speaking opportunities and panel positions to elevate company profile. Identify and cultivate partnerships with quantum champions across academia, government, and industry sectors.
**Marketing & Communications:** Define and articulate value propositions, use cases, and technical differentiators. Create and oversee development of technical content including tutorials, blog posts, whitepapers, marketing collateral, infographics, videos, and presentations. Ensure all messaging is technically accurate while remaining accessible to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise. Generate data-driven analysis and compelling narratives highlighting technical innovation.
This is a director-level role requiring someone who can operate at the intersection of deep technical knowledge and strategic marketing leadership. The position involves up to 35% travel to industry events and partner engagements.
**Requirements:**
- PhD degree in a science or engineering field
- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably with exposure to the quantum industry
- Deep expertise in quantum technologies, including understanding of business and technology landscape, ability to synthesize insights from scientific publications, and familiarity with full-stack quantum computer architecture
- Proven written, visual, and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse technical audiences
- Strong data-driven analysis capability and ability to generate compelling narratives around technical innovation and differentiation
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate strategic relationships with leaders in industry, academia, and government
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 35%
