Veeva Systems, a public benefit corporation and leader in life sciences industry cloud, is seeking a Technical Curriculum Developer specializing in AI Agents. This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC, combining curriculum design with hands-on AI agent development.
The role targets two personas: (1) AI Solutions Engineers transitioning to mentorship/coaching, leveraging engineering backgrounds to teach AI agent building and best practices, or (2) Technical Curriculum Developers with deep teaching passion who want to learn and build agentic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build hands-on training and lab environments teaching technical learners to build, configure, and deploy custom AI agents on Veeva's platform
- Create working AI agent demos and reference implementations from scratch to anchor training content and live demonstrations
- Translate practical challenges (tool/function calling, context management, prompt design, error handling, guardrails, orchestration) into clear, sequenced learning experiences
- Own and maintain advanced technical courses requiring Java coding and REST API fluency
- Build and maintain hands-on lab environments, sample code, sandbox data, and technical exercises mirroring real implementation scenarios
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Support to identify pain points and develop curriculum solutions
- Apply instructional design best practices (learning objectives, scaffolding, assessment design, adult learning principles) while maintaining technical rigor
- Stay current with agentic AI landscape, frameworks, tool integrations, and orchestration patterns
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Instructional Design, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience building, configuring, and deploying AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK, or similar
- Practical understanding of core agent concepts: tool/function calling, RAG, context/memory management, multi-agent orchestration, prompt engineering, evaluation
- First-hand experience troubleshooting real agent builder problems (flaky tool calls, context overflow, hallucinated actions, permission issues)
- Ability to read and understand Java code architecture for minor development/debugging; strong REST API foundational knowledge
- Experience with Git, Postman, or similar API tooling
- 3+ years building technical training, curriculum, or enablement content for technical audiences (developers, implementation consultants, technical admins, power users)
- Experience designing hands-on labs, sandbox exercises, and high-quality instructor-led or eLearning courses
- Strong writing and technical communication skills; able to explain complex concepts to varied audiences
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable leading live demos and workshops
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable tool-integration standards
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and AI/authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Arcade, Vyond, Gemini, Claude)
- Experience with Veeva Vault or ability to quickly ramp on complex enterprise SaaS platforms
