Veeva Systems, a public benefit corporation and industry-leading SaaS platform for life sciences, is seeking a Technical Curriculum Developer specializing in AI Agents. This is a hybrid role based in Pleasanton, CA. This unique role bridges technical training and AI agent development. You'll design and build hands-on training programs, lab environments, and working AI agent demos that teach customers, partners, and Veeva employees how to build, configure, and deploy custom AI agents on the Veeva platform. You'll own advanced technical courses requiring Java and REST API fluency, bringing credibility that generalist curriculum developers cannot. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build hands-on training and lab environments teaching technical learners to build, configure, and deploy custom AI agents - Build working AI agent demos and reference implementations from scratch to anchor training content and live demonstrations - Translate practical challenges learners face (tool/function calling, context management, prompt design, error handling, guardrails, orchestration) into clear, sequenced learning experiences - Own and maintain advanced technical courses, including coding-intensive classes in Java and REST APIs - Build and maintain hands-on lab environments, sample code, sandbox data, and technical exercises mirroring real implementation scenarios - Partner with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Support to identify pain points and develop curriculum - Apply instructional design best practices while maintaining technical accuracy - Stay current with the agentic AI landscape, frameworks, and orchestration patterns Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Instructional Design, or equivalent practical experience - Hands-on experience building, configuring, and deploying AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK, or similar - Practical understanding of core agent concepts: tool/function calling, RAG, context/memory management, multi-agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and evaluation - First-hand experience troubleshooting real agent builder problems (flaky tool calls, context overflow, hallucinated actions, permission issues) - Ability to read and understand Java code architecture and strong foundational REST API knowledge - Experience with Git, Postman, or similar API tooling - 3+ years building technical training, curriculum, or enablement content for technical audiences (developers, implementation consultants, technical admins, power users) - Experience designing hands-on labs, sandbox exercises, and high-quality instructor-led courses and/or eLearning - Strong writing and technical communication skills; able to explain complex concepts to varied audiences - Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable leading live demos and workshops - Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable tool-integration standards - Familiarity with LMS platforms and AI/authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Arcade, Vyond, Gemini, Claude) - Experience with Veeva Vault or complex enterprise SaaS platforms Veeva is a Work Anywhere company supporting flexibility to work from home or in the office.
