Motive is seeking a Technical Content Writer to develop, edit, and maintain customer-facing Help Center articles that empower users to maximize value from the Motive platform—a comprehensive fleet management and operations system serving nearly 100,000 customers across transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, and other industries.
In this role, you will create and maintain high-quality support documentation, translating complex product information into clear, accessible content for non-technical audiences. You'll work closely with product, support, and engineering teams to gather insights, identify content gaps, and ensure accuracy across the Help Center.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing, editing, and maintaining Help Center articles with a focus on clarity, consistency, and user comprehension
- Preparing structured content in the CMS, optimizing images, and managing the review and approval workflow
- Collaborating cross-functionally to understand product features and customer pain points
- Contributing to technical initiatives such as Help Center coding (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), SEO optimization, and chatbot flow design
- Analyzing content performance metrics and recommending improvements to the Help Center experience
- Supporting broader projects including video scripting, UX research, and industry analysis
You bring 2+ years of relevant technical writing or content experience, ideally with SaaS and/or hardware products. A bachelor's degree in Communications, Writing, Media, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. You're proficient with Google Workspace tools, experienced with CMS platforms (Zendesk, WordPress, HubSpot), and have hands-on SEO implementation skills. You're comfortable working US EST hours (6 PM–3 AM PKT) and thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
