As Technical Accounting Lead, you will own the technical accounting function for a high-growth enterprise software company preparing for scale and eventual IPO. Your responsibilities span three core areas:
**Technical Accounting Ownership**: Lead documentation and maintenance of all technical accounting policies including cost of revenue, revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and fixed assets. Serve as an internal advisor on strategic investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure adherence to established accounting policies.
**Audit & IPO Preparedness**: Coordinate with external audit firms on quarterly and annual audit requirements. Lead evaluation and presentation of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with current financial statement disclosure requirements and position the company for eventual public markets.
**Finance Transformation**: Drive proactive initiatives to leverage AI and modern tooling to scale the accounting function. Evaluate and upgrade the tech stack to incorporate latest AI technology. Challenge existing processes and develop an AI-first approach to accounting operations.
You will be a structured, self-directed problem-solver who can design processes from scratch, execute them, and continuously improve them. The ideal candidate has 2-5+ years at a Big Four firm (preferably servicing public companies) plus 2-5+ years in-house at a high-growth enterprise software company. CPA license and US GAAP proficiency required. Prior IPO experience and familiarity with modern CFO tech stacks are highly valued.
