As a Technical Account Manager, you'll be the trusted technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise customers. You'll guide customers through their entire journey with Island—from initial onboarding through operational maturity and optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers, understanding their security, productivity, and governance needs
- Proactively manage support cases, feature requests, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and customer communication
- Deliver training and enablement to customer IT teams on deployment, management, and operationalization of Island
- Provide configuration guidance tailored to each customer's environment, balancing security, performance, and usability
- Keep customers informed of upcoming releases and demonstrate how new features solve their specific challenges
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to deliver unified customer experiences and influence product direction
- Manage technical projects and ensure customers achieve their desired outcomes
You'll need 5+ years in technical account management, solutions engineering, or post-sales technical roles, ideally in software or cybersecurity. Strong technical foundation supporting enterprise IT products (especially SaaS or security platforms) is essential. Experience with customer escalations, support ticket management, and technical project management required. Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency with Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and remote collaboration tools. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
