Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual

Synack is seeking a Technical Account Manager to manage the onboarding and execution of penetration tests for federal clients. In this role, you will develop scopes for penetration tests, guide security researchers toward effective testing strategies, and serve as the primary technical liaison between Synack's Red Team and clients. You will work independently to gather client requirements, understand their security posture, and design tailored penetration testing solutions. Your responsibilities include partnering with internal stakeholders to analyze client assets, providing technical expertise on vulnerability discovery and remediation, and explaining complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key responsibilities: - Develop penetration test scopes and guide researchers to effective testing - Use consultative communication to gather requirements and understand customer needs - Influence internal stakeholders on strategic testing approaches - Analyze client assets and security infrastructure - Provide technical SME support on compliance frameworks and testing requirements - Work independently with minimal guidance Required qualifications: - Experience with vulnerability discovery management and risk management frameworks (PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 1/2) - Familiarity with scripting languages and ability to develop scripted solutions - Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISA - Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects - US citizenship required - Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required This is a federal-focused role within Synack's FedRAMP Moderate Authorized environment, serving Global 2000 customers and U.S. agencies.
