Lambda is an AI cloud infrastructure company serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers. The Technical Account Manager owns the technical health of post-sales relationships for Lambda's public cloud accounts, spanning AI-native startups, enterprises, and Fortune 500 companies. This is a hands-on, technical role focused on ensuring customer workloads run optimally on Lambda's infrastructure. You will take the technical handoff from Solutions Engineering after hypercare and own account technical outcomes through steady state, expansion, and renewal. Key responsibilities include: - Own technical health across assigned accounts, understanding customer AI use cases end-to-end (training, fine-tuning, inference) and mapping frameworks, schedulers, parallelism strategies, and data paths. - Lead joint customer POC sessions with defined success criteria, benchmarks, and timelines; own execution, coordinate capacity, and drive clear verdicts. - Design and defend reference architectures spanning compute, networking, storage, connectivity, and scheduler integration (Slurm, Kubernetes). - Build and own SLA/reliability engineering methodology, validate breach events at technical root-cause level, and provide defensible uptime calculations. - Create technical data surfaces for customer health: dashboards, telemetry, uptime history, health scoring, and churn early-warning signals. - Serve as technical lead during high-severity incidents: drive root cause analysis, coordinate engineering and vendors (NVIDIA, storage, networking), and communicate findings to account teams. - Run structured feature-request pipeline into product and audit platform friction points by provisioning as a customer. - Track GPU roadmaps, competing clouds, and evolving training/inference stacks to inform architecture and expansion recommendations. Required: 5+ years in technical account management, solutions engineering, ML engineering, technical program/product management, or infrastructure engineering with significant customer-facing scope in cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure. Must have hands-on fluency with GPU infrastructure (provisioning, benchmarking, debugging across compute, networking, storage, schedulers), working command of AI/ML workloads, track record leading structured technical engagements, builder's toolkit (scripting, SQL, dashboarding), and executive-grade communication skills. Position requires presence in San Francisco, San Jose, or Bellevue office 4 days per week; Tuesday is designated work-from-home day.
