Resend is a modern email sending platform for developers, with 3M+ developers using the platform and hundreds of new paying customers onboarded daily. The company is backed by a16z and Y Combinator, with a fully remote team of 50 spanning 15 countries.
You'll join the Buyer Experience Squad as a Technical Account Executive, taking a building-and-closing role focused on validating, iterating, and scaling a repeatable sales motion. This is not a rigid quota role—the first three months emphasize learning and experimentation, with quotas defined collaboratively based on what the team learns.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working high-intent inbound opportunities from enriched, segmented enterprise logos and high-growth companies
- Building on existing sales playbooks by validating, iterating, and scaling what works
- Running experiments across messaging, timing, and channels to find repeatability
- Expanding existing customers by identifying accounts for higher tiers or additional products
- Preventing churn by distinguishing accounts worth saving from natural lifecycle churn
- Serving as the voice of the customer internally, feeding learnings back to product, marketing, and success
- Documenting everything to create institutional knowledge
Ideal candidates have built before—whether a new role, team, or function from zero. You're customer-obsessed, genuinely curious about customer problems, and comfortable working with deeply technical infrastructure engineers and newer developers alike. You think like a scientist: hypotheses, tests, measurements, iteration. You're technical enough to hold credible conversations about infrastructure, APIs, and email deliverability, though you don't need to be a developer. You care about craft, notice sloppy details, and believe sales should be executed with the same care as great product. You're comfortable with travel for conferences, prospect on-sites, and team events.
The team is honest, low-ego, and autonomous. You'll work directly with founders invested in building this function the right way. The culture is team-oriented with part of quota shared. The role is 100% remote with a flexible schedule.
