Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprises like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Platform Engineering team in Amsterdam enables Adyen engineers to build and support secure, scalable, and reliable applications through a shared technology ecosystem. As Team Lead for the Networking team, you will build, mentor, and coach a diverse team responsible for delivering foundational infrastructure services across Adyen's core platform. You'll work closely with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of networking infrastructure globally. Key responsibilities include: - Designing, implementing, and optimizing Adyen's global networking infrastructure - Building and mentoring a talented engineering team - Setting clear individual and team goals aligned with strategic engineering ambitions in collaboration with product management - Overseeing team operations and continuous improvement - Deploying, scaling, and automating a globally distributed network - Driving the technical direction of the networking team - Maintaining performance metrics, health monitoring, and appliance lifecycle management - Streamlining engineering operations and fostering effective cross-team collaboration You bring proven experience managing and optimizing global network infrastructure environments, with a track record of leading IT teams and products. You have deep technical knowledge of networking protocols (EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing), firewalling, and the Linux networking stack. You're skilled in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Puppet, and you excel at coaching and mentoring engineering talent in fast-paced environments. You're a collaborative team player comfortable working across global offices, roles, and cultures.
