PactFi is building secure, end-to-end operational infrastructure for private asset markets (PE, private credit, VC, real estate). The private asset market has grown to $9.8T in AUM and is projected to reach $17T within five years, yet most participants still rely on error-prone, internal-only software. PactFi's web-based platform brings together all parties in complex private credit transactions to efficiently allocate capital, complete KYC, share documents, manage fund flows, and more. The platform meets bank-grade security standards and holds SOC 2 Type 2 attestation. The company was developed in close partnership with two of the industry's largest players, both top-3 in private credit by AUM and deal activity. As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll build and ship features across the platform, working primarily in Laravel with regular front-end work in Vue.js on products that move real money for partners and clients. This is a hands-on role for an engineer with 2-4 years of experience who wants to grow quickly. You'll own features end-to-end with support from senior engineers and get direct exposure to product, QA, and engineering leadership rather than working from a ticket queue. Key responsibilities include building and shipping features in the Laravel application from database schema through API endpoints to the Vue.js interface; writing clean, tested, well-documented code and participating actively in code review; integrating with third-party APIs and internal services with thoughtful error handling and edge-case management; working with Product Managers and QA to clarify requirements and get features to production; debugging and resolving issues across the stack including performance and data-integrity problems; and contributing to improvements in tooling, tests, and development workflow. Required qualifications: 2-4 years of professional software development experience; working experience with Laravel or another modern MVC framework with genuine interest in Laravel; solid PHP fundamentals and comfort with object-oriented design; front-end experience with Vue.js, React, or similar, plus solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; practical SQL skills and experience designing and querying relational databases like MySQL; familiarity with Git-based workflows and code review; and clear written and verbal communication with willingness to ask questions early. Nice-to-have skills include experience writing automated tests (Playwright or similar), exposure to AWS or another cloud platform, experience with queues/background jobs/event-driven workflows, interest in fintech or regulated environments, and hands-on experience with LLM APIs or AI-assisted features.
