Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving 1,400+ firms managing nearly $9 trillion in assets. The company has launched an Alternatives Product offering that automates the extraction, processing, validation, and ingestion of Private Funds data from documents using proprietary machine learning combined with human-in-loop review.
You will lead the Alternatives Data Operations team within Addepar's broader Data organization. This team is responsible for the human-in-loop review of Private Funds documents, ensuring clients' Alternatives data is processed, validated, and available in the platform within SLAs. You will manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, review Private Fund statements, modify data incorrectly extracted by ML models, and reprocess data to meet service-level agreements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a team of Analysts & Senior Analysts, ensuring effective work allocation and timely delivery
- Serve as subject matter expert supporting the team on complex document processing
- Guide and oversee troubleshooting of complex Private Fund statement processing exceptions
- Perform quality reviews and assist the team in correcting incorrectly extracted data
- Track and drive key performance metrics including SLA compliance, processing accuracy, and throughput
- Act as primary escalation point for operational and data quality issues
- Partner with Machine Learning Operations to identify and relabel documents for model retraining
- Engage clients, GPs, and Fund Admins on statement data inquiries
- Support and maintain Alternatives Data Operations workflow procedures and playbooks
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and standardization
- Partner with Product and Engineering to implement new processes and tooling that improve UX and operational efficiency
The role requires daily communication with the Alternatives Product Team, ML Operations, clients, data providers, and cross-functional personnel. You will work in overlapping US/EMEA shifts or flexible hours to align with global stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a relevant role and domain
- Minimum 2+ years of people team leader experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field
- Experience in Private Equity / Alternatives investment process
- Experience in financial investment/advisory industry with strong knowledge of capital markets, middle/back-office operations systems, and preferably experience with Alternatives (Private/Draw-down) Funds reporting statements and data
- Excellent attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients, data providers, and internal stakeholders
- Self-motivated, forward-thinking, pragmatic, and collaborative team-player mentality
- Technical skills preferred: Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, SQL, Salesforce, or other common financial services systems
- Willing to work overlapping US/EMEA shifts or flexible hours
