Persona is a configurable identity verification platform serving leading companies like Reddit and OpenAI. The Accounting team is seeking a General Ledger Accountant / Senior Accountant to own global balance sheet accounting, tax compliance support, and month-end close execution across multiple legal entities and currencies.
In this role, you will operate and scale Persona's NetSuite-based accounting function to support rapid international growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Support global tax compliance efforts, coordinating with external tax advisors on income tax, VAT/GST, and statutory filings across jurisdictions
- Prepare and maintain tax-related balance sheet reconciliations and schedules aligned with tax filings
- Own general ledger accounting in NetSuite across multiple international legal entities
- Partner with Payroll and People Ops to ensure accurate accounting for global payroll, benefits, and employer taxes
- Manage balance sheet accounts for international subsidiaries (cash, intercompany, accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll, tax accounts)
- Execute monthly close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and consolidation
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions, billing, settlements, and eliminations
- Support multi-currency accounting including foreign currency remeasurement and translation under US GAAP
You will bring 4+ years of accounting or audit experience, ideally in SaaS or usage-based revenue environments. Strong knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 740), US federal/state taxes, and exposure to international tax frameworks (VAT/GST, foreign corporate taxes) is essential. You are proficient in NetSuite and QuickBooks, detail-oriented, and thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments. This is a hands-on role focused on building durable processes and controls as Persona scales globally.
