Canva is seeking an experienced Senior Manager for Sales Compensation Systems & Analytics to own the systems, data, reporting, and quarterly operating rhythm behind their global sales incentive programs. This role sits at the intersection of sales compensation, analytics, and technology, requiring deep expertise in incentive platform management, compensation data governance, and executive-level analytics.
Key responsibilities include:
**Platform Ownership**: Act as the business owner for the incentive compensation platform, managing configuration, data flows, integrations, system performance, and vendor relationships. Translate plan mechanics into accurate, scalable system logic and own requirements, testing, and change control.
**Data & Payout Readiness**: Own compensation data from source through payout, including eligibility, quotas, territories, crediting, and payment outputs. Lead recurring audits, reconciliations, and exception reviews. Partner cross-functionally with Sales Operations, People, Data Engineering, Revenue Accounting, Finance, and Payroll to maintain reliable data flows and on-time commission processing.
**Reporting & Insights**: Build quarterly sales compensation QBR materials providing fact-based views of plan health, seller outcomes, and operational performance. Analyze attainment distributions, pay-for-performance alignment, payout-to-revenue ratios, and incentive effectiveness. Develop scalable dashboards and executive-ready presentations that explain findings and recommend next steps.
**Plan Delivery**: Own annual and quarterly plan setup, participant mapping, compensation letter generation, quality assurance, and distribution. Maintain accurate plan documentation, rate tables, and version history.
**Governance & Scale**: Maintain audit-ready documentation and controls across the end-to-end commission process. Lead strategic projects and large-scale changes. Establish operating standards and repeatable processes that improve accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership and influence. You'll work independently on complex problems, mentor teammates, and lead cross-functional initiatives, but direct people management is not the primary focus. Canva offers flexibility in how and where you work, with offices in Sydney and San Francisco.
