Notion is seeking a Talent Management Specialist to join its People team and help define, operationalize, and continuously improve how the company grows talent. This role sits at the intersection of talent philosophy, people partner strategy, and enablement—working as an extension of strategic People Partner leaders rather than in a siloed program function.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintain and operationalize Notion's talent philosophies across performance, growth, leadership, career development, internal mobility, early career, and high-performance expectations. Codify principles into practical tools, rituals, and operating mechanisms that People Partners and leaders can use, ensuring alignment with business needs and company strategy.
2. Build durable talent systems that make expectations clear, consistent, and actionable without over-programming. Co-build the programmatic layer and talent engine for People Partners, develop deployment-ready materials (playbooks, manager guides, conversation frameworks, decision tools, calibration support), and partner closely with strategic leaders to identify enablement needs.
3. Enable talent density by bringing craft and pattern recognition to understand what different talent segments need to grow. Design self-service strategies, power up mechanisms to identify and retain talent, and enable the leadership bench.
4. Lead high-leverage talent strategy projects on topics such as early career strategy enablement, total rewards exploration, role architecture for AI-native work, internal mobility pathways, and leadership expectations translation.
The ideal candidate brings deep talent management craft, strong business judgment, and operating muscle to turn philosophy into practice. You work embedded with People Partners (not independently), balance strategic thinking with practical execution, hold strong opinions but build through partnership, design for repeatability and leverage, anchor work in company outcomes, and are energized by reimagining talent work in an AI-native context.
