Inspira Education Group is a fast-growing edtech startup democratizing access to high-quality coaching for students pursuing medical, legal, business, and college admissions. Backed by leading VCs including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, and Craft Ventures, the company operates as the world's leading network of top admissions coaches, combining software and services to disrupt traditional application processes. This role is titled Sales Development Representative but functions as a talent acquisition specialist. Rather than traditional sales prospecting, you'll apply SDR-style outreach and pipeline-building skills to identify and engage candidates for key roles across the company. You'll work directly with the founder team to understand hiring priorities, evaluate candidate fit, and build relationships with prospective hires before they're actively job-seeking. Key responsibilities include researching and identifying prospective candidates using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, writing personalized outreach messages to engage candidates and nurture relationships over time, tracking and managing pipeline activity in the ATS, refining sourcing approaches based on what resonates with different candidate segments, and supporting founders with ad hoc hiring projects as priorities shift. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of SDR or comparable outbound prospecting experience, strong written communication skills, comfort with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up, excellent organizational and detail-oriented abilities, and genuine enthusiasm for working closely with founders and taking on meaningful responsibility early in their career. This is an in-office role (5 days/week, Gramercy, NYC) offering direct exposure to founder-level thinking about hiring and company building. Compensation includes health, dental, and vision insurance (100% employer-paid base plans), pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, Commuter), flexible PTO, paid holidays, and 401(k) with company match.
