White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. The company has raised $11M from top-tier investors and processes over 100 million API calls monthly. They are seeking a hands-on Talent Lead to own and build their hiring function from scratch.
In this role, you will personally drive hiring across the entire company, owning the recruiting process end-to-end from sourcing and screening through interviews and closing. You'll build scalable recruiting processes and infrastructure, including interview loops, scorecards, pipelines, and candidate tracking systems. You'll work closely with the Head of People and hiring managers across GTM, Operations, Research, Product, and Engineering to define roles, hiring priorities, and candidate profiles.
Key responsibilities include leading international hiring across the US, EU, UK, and other markets as the company expands; building and maintaining hiring metrics and reporting (pipeline conversion, time to hire, source performance, offer acceptance); identifying bottlenecks and continuously improving the recruiting process; developing strong sourcing channels across different functions and geographies; and creating a strong candidate experience that represents White Circle well.
You should have several years of experience running hiring at a startup in an early-stage or high-growth environment, with a track record of personally hiring meaningful numbers of people. Experience building hiring processes and recruiting operations from scratch is essential. You'll need to be comfortable with international hiring across multiple countries, working directly with leadership and senior hiring managers, and operating independently in a fast-moving environment. Strong data analysis skills, excellent sourcing abilities, and clear communication are critical. Experience hiring for AI, ML, and Research roles is a plus, as is familiarity with AI tools for sourcing and recruiting operations.
