Generalist is building embodied foundation models and general intelligence for the physical world, with a team of researchers and roboticists from OpenAI, Boston Dynamics, Google DeepMind, and other frontier labs. They are scaling hiring across research science, ML infrastructure, robotics controls, hardware, data operations, and go-to-market functions.
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will own end-to-end recruiting for critical senior technical roles. You'll develop deep domain expertise in key areas (research, ML infrastructure, robotics, hardware), map target talent ecosystems proactively, and execute highly personalized sourcing strategies across publications, conferences, repositories, and referral networks. Your work will span intake and strategy, targeted sourcing, interview loop design, candidate closing, and seamless onboarding handoffs.
You'll partner closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers—primarily researchers and engineers who value data-informed, efficient guidance. You'll track pipeline metrics, channel effectiveness, and feedback loops to continuously optimize hiring practices. You'll also leverage modern AI tools for research and enrichment while maintaining quality standards, manage external recruiting agencies, and support in-person hiring efforts across San Francisco and Boston locations.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape Generalist's recruiting methodology and culture as one of the initial talent team members. Success requires 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting, a proven track record closing senior technical hires with competing offers, deep passive-sourcing expertise, data fluency with ATS and spreadsheets, working knowledge of AI tooling, exceptional written communication, genuine technical curiosity, and strong relationship management under pressure.
